![]() Queen's Wish lets you travel in any direction to start. ![]() It's not particularly engaging gameplay in my opinion. One of my biggest issues with Avernum is that due to the wide-open world, you can end up with over half the locations you visit being trivially easy to beat due to under leveled enemies. Like I've never heard anyone complain about Dragon Age Origins having level scaling, possibly because they didn't even realize it. I know level scaling is the absolute bane of RPGs for some people, but I think it gets a bad rap even when it's implemented well. When coming back and did everything in one run, this building was the last, party was a bit exhausted and I lost 2 characters, still believing I had the contracts to find.įor special item, ok it seems I didn't check well, only checked when have done all but this last building.I'll disagree here. I did the two stock buildings at start of the game, it probably added confusion because it was for me stuff already done. But ok it's not in this main building.Īnd yeah it helped clarify, in one small building there's a chest generating a message about papers found and enemies spawned, I read it too fast. Ok, in fact there are two chests referring to papers and contract in the main building. I don't remember if the Console ("c") noted you'd acquired them probably. I think you should see them under Special Items (Journal tab) until you've delivered them and completed the quest. ![]() It's that chest-once you've accepted the quest-that has the contracts.
